The Lightbox

Standard

Dear Readers,

Sometimes I get stuck in this dark box where everything seems difficult and sad. Here I feel lonely, I feel paralyzed, I feel low. What if, one day I cannot move from here anymore? What if I am stuck for life? What if my plan of life does not work? I am scared, I am tired of fighting for my own life.

Have you ever felt like you don’t know what going on anymore in your life? Like you don’t care about anything anymore. You have lost your motivation to do anything. You are confused with your own feelings and you cannot explain how you feel. You have the feeling of emptiness and the feeling that no one is there for you. That feeling that no one understands you anymore. And it seems there is nothing to look forward anymore. Yeah, I get these feelings too.

Growing is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere where you don’t belong. Letting go has nothing to do with “quitting”. Ask yourself,”Am I sticking it out or am I staying stuck?”. You know your self better than anyone.

Everyone is insecure about something, it’s not just you. You will never be 100% sure about the decisions you made in your life. But always make a decision because it’s better to go back and fix it than to never make it at all.Sometimes you will make the wrong decisions but you will save the energy and time to recover from it than if you make no decision at all.

We typically compare the worst we know of ourselves to the best we presume about others. There is always someone better than you. So there’s no point in comparing.

The strongest, happiest, the most successful people are NOT those who always win, but those who don’t give up when they lose. They fail forward. So keep calm when everything seems to be going wrong. You may feel weak, but your spirit is strong. When things are tough, you must be tougher. Don’t pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a hard one that leads to long-term success and happiness. Nothing worthy in life comes easy.

Kindness is not to be mistaken for weakness, nor forgiveness for acceptance. You forgive people because you’re strong enough to know that people make mistakes. It is very hard for some people to keep their ego behind them and forgive others, but when you do forgive them you will definitely experience the load lift up from your mind and heart. Because that marks the point that you are able to move forward and are capable of making your life comfortable.

Truth be told, there are only a few people in this world that will stay 100% true to you, and YOU should be one of them.Create a life that feels good on the inside, not one that just looks good on the outside to everyone else. It is hard, I am sure.

It is always hard to lose something that has many memories with you but quite often, the successful people that act the happiest are the ones that have overcome the most. Sometimes you have to lose something precious in order to gain something priceless. Never regret your past mistakes and failures, because they have given you strength. They teach you about every aspect of life and how to act upon any problem you face. The one who falls and gets up is much stronger than the one who never fell.

The story of your life has many chapters. One bad chapter doesn’t mean it’s the end. So stop re-reading the bad one already and turn the page. Accept what is, let go of what was and have faith in what could be. If you cling on to your past, you will never move forward. It is hard to let go of your yesterday’s struggle but remember, life does not have to be anywhere near perfect to be wonderful in the end and that everything happens for the very best reasons. This is the part of the facts of life that guides you on every step of your journey, the one you know and the one you don’t know.

Don’t see this as a dark box where you feel stuck, see it as a lightbox where the box is all about the light of hope. A box where you find all that you always wished for. Believe in yourself!!! Life is much more than what you see and let the bigger picture find you.

Regards,
Swati Chaurasia
